Q: How What Are My Membership Options?
A: You may choose from 3 options:
1: Try a Kit- this is buying the kit for one month only. The kit cost is approximately $32.50
2: Receive our kit for $28- this is a three month membership. If you cancel early, you will be charged the difference between the retail value and the kit discount and a $15 cancellation fee.
3: Purchase 12 months and receive the 13th month free- this is our best deal! Not only do you save money on your kit each month, and are always guaranteed a kit, but you get your 13th kit free of charge!
Q: How does Billing work?
A: We charge your card each month starting on the 15th. We do not offer a buy several months at one time plan. Subscriptions are on auto payment through our shopping cart. The charge will be for the next months kit.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We take Visa, Mastercard, & Discover and any debit card with those symbols.
Q: Credit Cards that decline, what happens with that?
A: Each month we have declining cards. This can happen for a variety of reasons including not having money in your account, having an expired card, an electronic mis-communication between your card and the billing system, etc.
When this occurs we always try the card twice to ensure that it isn’t a technical error. Then we wait and try again after all other kits have been shipped. Each month we have a waiting list for our kits, and if at this second time we cannot run your card, and you haven’t contacted us, we will give your kit away to someone on that waiting list. So, if you want to continue receiving your kits, please keep your information current, and if you don’t see a charge to your account by the end of the month, and there has been no delay mentioned, please contact us. We send out e-mail or phone notices every other month or so to those who have consistently declining cards.
We will keep you on the list and try you again the following months, unless you contact us and cancel your subscription.

Q: What if I am ready to end my subscription?
A: Please give us notice. We need 4 weeks notice if you plan to end your subscription early.
Please note, there will be a $15 cancellation fee applied to your credit card if you cancel without giving 4 weeks notice, or if you are ending your subscription before the end of your 3 or 12 month commitment.
Q: Can I return my kit?
A: We post a complete list of kit items before kits are shipped each month so you can review the contents and choose to purchase. Kits may not be returned, and all sales are final.
Q: What if there is a problem with my kit once I have received it?
A: Please let us know within 15 days if your kit arrives damaged or missing an item and we will fix the problem right away!
Q: How do Add Ons work?
A: Each month we find a few extra items that coordinate well with the kit. You may have these shipped with your kit for no additional shipping charge.
If you would like add-ons to be shipped with your kit enter coupon code Ship W/Kit exactly as shown and this will show up on the invoice so we will know to ship your add-ons with your kit.
We no longer will have paper receipts included in your order. We are trying to do our part with the environment. Your receipt for your order will be the email order confirmation.
Totals will be adjusted for shipping by hand. If there is a big difference between the actual shipping and the shipping amount with add-ons you will see an additional charge for shipping. Add ons ship asap- so those who order add ons usually receive kits first.
Q: How much is shipping?
A: We charge actual shipping. This is Priority Mail $8.30 if you are in the US.
Internationally rates tend to be around $16.
The average to Sweden is: $15
The average to England is: $15
Of course, the heavier the kit, the higher the cost. These are averages, not exact, and due to the postal service, may change at any time.
Q: When does the kit ship?
A: We try to get the next month’s kit shipped in the last few days of the month preceding it. So if we are shipping the February kit, we will ship it out around January 25th. We try to arrange it so your kit arrives in the first week of every month. This is not always possible. Occasionally we have an order that is late in being shipped to us and it can cause delays. If we anticipate a delay we always let you know.
We try to ship all orders with add ons first, and then kits being shipped internationally, then US kits, and finally the very close to home California kits. That way everyone should receive their kits at about the same time, which is the first week of the month.
Q: May I give a Gift Subscription to the kit?
A: Yes, absolutely. Just fill out the form to ship to a friend’s address, but bill to yours. If you have questions on this, please e-mail us.
Q: Do I have to renew at the end of my sub term?
A: Nope, we keep sending kits until you decide to take a break or stop. At that time just send us an email and we will take you off the master list. Please allow 4 wks. Because we order your kit contents two months in advance, we require this notice. We ask that you cancel with us because when we have had more complaints when we ended people's subscriptions at the end of their term than when we had them cancel on their own.

Q: What is usually included in the kits?
A: Each month we carefully select coordinating paper and embellishments. We always try to choose the latest and greatest new products, or items so classic and consumable that you wouldn’t mind getting more (special pens, inks, classic brads, cardstock). They are usually based around one new paper line, with embellishments from a variety of companies. To see past kits and get a feel for our style, please look here:

Q: Where can I get ideas on how to use my kit?
A: We have a Design Team that puts together over 40 projects each month featuring our kit. You can view these monthly galleries here:

Tips for our kits
If you have a specific question about how to use an item, please ask on our message board and a DT member will help you.
Q: How do I get on the Design Team?
A: We have a DT call every six months, and anyone is welcome to apply. Details are always posted on the board around that time (usually in December and May).
Q: How does this club function?
A: The kit club is owned by Pam Padilla, the owner of The Scrapbook Nook. Pam does all of the billing and shipping. The Design Team and website are managed by Leah Killian. She is the creative mind behind the kit contents, and is the main person who will delete your posts if you choose to be offensive on the message board. The shop deals with all shipping and billing aspects; Leah does not. If you ask Leah about an issue in those two areas, she will sympathize greatly, but will refer you to Pam via the contact us page . We love sending out these great kits every month and very much enjoy getting to know our great customers via the message board!
